Transient Voltage Suppression Diode (TVS ARRAY) is a clamping type (voltage limiting type) overvoltage protection element. When an external surge enters from the DC power port or signal interface, it can be limited to tens of volts. So that protects the back-end IC or devices on the circuit from being damaged.
Transient voltage suppression diodes are mainly used to protect the damage of transient voltages such as SURGE, Lighting, and ESD. They are also applied to safety regulations IEC61000-4-2 (ESD), (SURGE/Lighting) EMC protection.
Because some series have the characteristics of ultra-low capacitance value, they are mainly used in high-speed interfaces such as USB3.x, HDMI, Ethernet GbE, etc.
Application
Used to avoid voltage and electrical overload situations, widely used for overvoltage protection of sensitive electronic parts, including computers , industrial equipment, telecommunications, consumer electronics and automotive markets.
